What is Your Story???

This year’s Reflections program theme is, What is Your Story?
The Reflections program recognizes students at the Local, Council, State and National PTA levels. At each level, all entries are judged on interpretation of the theme, creativity and artistic merit.

Students may enter individually multiple times in any or all of the six art categories.

Dance Choreography
Film Production
Music Composition
Visual Arts

Each entry must be the original work created specifically for the year’s theme. Each entry must also conform to the guidelines developed by the National PTA.

LAUNCH 2016!

What a fabulous weekend of learning we had!

Katy ISD Council of PTAs had more than 120 leaders attend Texas PTA’s premier training weekend in San Antonio, Friday, July 22nd – Sunday, July 24th!  Thank you, attendees, for dedicating so much of your personal time to help make this year your PTA’s best year!

After listening to the inspirational Kendra Scott (!!!), participants attended classes with topics ranging from “Advocating for Your Child and All Children in Your CommYOUnity” to “Ha! Ha! Help!  Parenting with Humor” (presented by Katy’s own Rebecca Fox).

And, who can forget the Vendor Fair!  With more than 300 exhibitors, PTAs were able to network with many program and service providers from across Texas!   Texas PTA hosted their annual Vendor Bingo, and Leah Wilson from Randolph PTA, won a YETI Cooler!

Most importantly, relationships were strengthened!  Leaders got to interact with National, State, and Council board members in addition to other local leaders.  Ideas were swapped, solutions were shared, and friendships were made.

If you missed it this year, go ahead and reserve July 21st – 23rd on your calendar.  Houston will be hosting, so Katy will be representing BIG!
